The concept opens up a lot of narrative possibilities.
The trailer clearly shows the Castillo stronghold is at the centre of a city or large town, so maybe a more urban environment will welcome us in some sections of the map.ĭue to the specific economic blockades that have been placed on the island, we will most likely see vintage cars, modern weapons and a whole host of fun but dangerous homemade equipment to accompany us through the world. It’s probably safe to say we can expect gorgeous sunbathed hills, sandy beaches and perhaps a few more areas of civilisation than we’ve seen in Far Cry games before. Set in the fictional sovereign nation Yara, which has been extensively based on real world Cuba, the country has been described as a “country caught in time” as it hasn’t properly moved on since the 70’s. He succeeds and immediately goes full fascist dictator and begins to aggressively force his people in line, but it isn’t long before a new revolution begins. Castillo, fuelled by the desire to see his country prosperous and free from international interference, elects to become the new “El Presidente” with promises of returning the land to its former glory. In the following decades, Anton saw the country fall to economic ruin as the world left it behind. It’s been said that Castillo’s father was the former ruler of the games fictional setting of Yara, and that he was overthrown and beheaded. Dani fights against the Dictator “El Presidente” Anton Castillo, and potentially his son Diego.
Storyįrom what we have seen, the story revolves around the player controlled freedom fighter Dani Rojas. The players will probably be using pre-designed and makeshift weapons, vehicles, hiring other freedom fighters to help as well as a “fangs for hire” system where you can recruit certain animals to fight with you. It can be expected that the gameplay will be like the missions set in Cuba in Call of Duty: Black Ops but open world and much more content and conflict.
